Dr. Matthew Torre receives FY26 Chao Physician-Scientist Award

Dr. Matthew Torre was selected as a recipient of the FY26 Chao Physician-Scientist Award for his project titled, "Investigating the role of chemotherapy in tau pathology and neurodegeneration".  This study will examine the behavioral effects of chemotherapeutic agents and the underlying mechanisms of those effects.  

Reviewers remarked that Dr. Torre's approach is ambitious and comprehensive, involving multi-species models and exciting fly genetic approaches.
