[person:personal_statement]
I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based care to children and their families during some of their most stressful and unexpected medical experiences. As a pediatric emergency medicine physician, I believe that effective care begins with listening carefully, communicating clearly and partnering with families to ensure they feel informed, supported and involved in decisions about their child's care.
My clinical passion is point-of-care ultrasound, which allows me to gather important information at the bedside and guide timely, accurate medical decisions. I am dedicated to using the latest evidence and technology to provide safe, efficient and patient-centered care for infants, children and adolescents.
In addition to caring for patients, I enjoy teaching medical students, residents and fellow physicians. I find great fulfillment in helping train the next generation of pediatric clinicians and advancing the use of ultrasound to improve care for children both locally and around the world. Through my work in education and professional organizations, I remain committed to lifelong learning and to advancing the field of pediatric emergency medicine.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my large family and cheering on my children as they pursue their taekwondo goals at the national and international levels. These experiences have taught me the value of perseverance, teamwork and embracing new cultures and perspectives, qualities that also shape the way I care for patients and families.
