Get to know Jessica Tung, PA-C
Jessica S. Tung, JD, MMS, PA-C is a physician assistant in Department of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is one of several Advanced Practice Providers helping to meet the demands of a high-volume service and her responsibilities include seeing patients in an outpatient clinic, rounding and managing care for inpatients, and first assisting in the operating room. Her interests include but are not limited to the following: management of acute fractures, wound care, management of acute facial injuries, and soft tissue foreign body removal. Her non-clinical passions involve advancing the physician assistant profession through local and national legislative policies and initiatives.
Jessica received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She then proceeded to study law at St. Mary’s University School of Law and practiced as an attorney before transitioning into the medical field. She went on to earn a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University at Glendale, Arizona and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast PA Association.
