Jay Mennel, PT, DPT, is the Therapy Manager for Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands, overseeing inpatient and outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Sports Physical Therapy and the Motion Analysis and Human Performance Laboratory. He joined Texas Children's in 2005 at the Medical Center campus and transitioned to The Woodlands in 2013, where he has helped lead the growth and expansion of therapy services across the region.
Jay played an instrumental role in the planning, activation and continued development of the Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands campus, including helping design and launch the therapy departments when the hospital opened in 2017. He has served on numerous hospital and therapy leadership committees and has been a member of the Therapy Practice Committee since its inception in 2017, helping advance therapy practice and clinical excellence across the organization.
In his leadership role, Jay oversees a large multidisciplinary team and is passionate about developing both people and programs. He is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth and continuous improvement while expanding access to high-quality therapy services for children and families. He works closely with physicians, nurses, athletic trainers and therapy teams across a variety of specialty programs to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
