Dr. Stephen Dolgner completed combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency training at Duke. He then pursued Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease fellowships at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington, respectively.
Intereses Clinicos
Dr. Dolgner enjoys caring for the full spectrum of pediatric and adult congenital heart disease patients. He strongly believes that decisions in this complex patient population are best made using a team approach, including perspectives from patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary clinical team. Given that patients with congenital heart disease need lifelong cardiology care, he works to ensure that the transition from pediatric cardiology to adult congenital heart disease care is as seamless as possible. Specific clinical areas of interest are the use of echocardiography and exercise testing to guide management.

Research interests
Dr. Dolgner is interested in short- and long-term outcomes of patients with congenital heart disease with a focus on mechanical support after cardiac surgery and outcomes after heart transplantation.
