Cassandra supports the Division of Public Health Pediatrics with data reporting and analysis. She is also a training center affiliated DSHS licensed CHWI and supports the education and training programs within the division and is the current Harris County Child Fatality Review Team Coordinator.
Research Interests and Projects
Strong interest in research resulting in strengthening communities, prevention programs, and programs supporting the health, safety, and resilience of populations predisposed to adverse outcomes. Prevention and screening of child fatality, child abuse and neglect, suicide, human trafficking, and sexual abuse. Development strategies for screening, education and empowerment for underrepresented communities and communities disproportionately impacted by preventable death and disease.
