Independence is important and looks different for everyone. I believe all people, regardless of ability, should have a voice and an opportunity to make choices that will improve their quality of life.
Intereses Clinicos
Roberta is an advanced clinical specialist in the field of assistive technology. Her role is to help children and young adults achieve their highest level of functional independence by adapting their environment to meet their physical and cognitive needs. She accomplishes this by recommending technology, modifying tasks and exploring options such as the use of eye gaze or alternative switches to access computers and speech-generating devices. She also believes in the importance of play and is experienced in adapting video games so that children can continue to play the games they enjoy following a disabling event or chronic condition.
