[person:personal_statement]
I am passionate about making meaningful differences in the lives of patients by merging evidence-based care with practical solutions that are patient- and family-centered. I strongly believe that the child – not a diagnosis – should determine his or her future and fight to reach the specific goals of the patient and family.
I aim to provide episodic care where each session is intentional and improvements are seen. I believe therapy is a powerful tool that should be used to target specific goals and to get the child back to living their life. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the lives of the children that I see.
I am a native of Lake Jackson, Texas and initially moved to Houston in 2008 to complete a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. I fell in love with the city life and the Texas Medical Center and then fell in love with and married fellow Texas Children's therapist, James Northcutt. We are raising three beautiful and wild boys. I love gardening, walking outdoors, baking/cooking, reading and running an occasional Houston half-marathon.
