As a pediatric physical medicine & rehabilitation physician, I help patients with physical difficulties to maximize their functional potential, making the fullest use of all attributes and working to effectively compensate for any shortcomings. I work to minimize discomfort while increasing activity and ease of care. Rehabilitation is a team approach encompassing the patient and family, the medical team, the patient’s therapists and orthotists as well as additional team members as needed. Our team works with the patient’s family to improve the patient’s immediate situation and also to anticipate future status changes to promote a stable lifestyle. We know that children want and need to play, and our team focuses on making the treatment experience as much fun as possible.
