Turner DeMott received a liver transplant due to extensive liver damage caused by Cystic Fibrosis which is a genetic disease that impacts both his liver and pancreas. Turner was referred to Texas Children's Hospital for a liver transplant evaluation and just 12 days after being placed on the waiting list, he received his new liver and a new lease on life through organ donation.
