For your convenience, Rheumatology at Texas Children’s Hospital provides care via telemedicine or in-person at multiple locations across the greater Houston and Austin area. Whether you visit one of our three hospitals or have an appointment at a Specialty Care location, every member of our care teams are uniquely qualified to care for children and offer the same great service – just closer to home. We see new patients who are under the age of 18. If you are 18 or older, we recommend establishing care with an adult rheumatologist.

We discourage switching providers after you have established care, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Whether in-person or telemedicine, we encourage you to schedule your first visit with a provider at the location that is most convenient for you.

Please contact your pharmacy for prescription refills. If you are out of refills, submit a request through your MyChart account or click here to find the phone number for your provider’s location to request a refill. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your request.

Note: Some prescriptions require monitoring lab work or regular visits in order to be refilled. If you have not been seen or completed lab work recently, we may not be able to process refills of your medication. If your medication requires a prior authorization, it could cause a delay in filling your prescription.
