About this symposium

The purpose of this conference is to further enhance the clinical knowledge of the pathophysiology of pulmonary vein stenosis. Furthermore, the modes of optimal diagnosis & treatment are incompletely defined. Through a series of lectures and panel discussions, learners will develop better understanding of the pathophysiology of pulmonary vein stenosis and the state-of-the-art for diagnosis and treatment.

Physicians, Fellows, Residents, Physician Assistants, Nurses/Nurse Practitioners, Staff and Medical Students

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Recall the physiologic effects of pulmonary vein stenosis on pulmonary vein flow, intrapulmonary shunting, and disease progression
  • Summarize the state-of-the-art catheter-based, surgical, and medical therapies used in treatment of pulmonary vein stenosis in terms of treatment and expected outcomes
  • Outline the rationale and efficacy of team-based approach to treatment of pulmonary vein stenosis

Activity Evaluations

Evaluation by questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and possible bias.
