Events Once Upon a Time Amrina

Our incredible community came together at Amrina on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in support of Texas Children’s Duncan NRI. We raised $418,200 to advance life-changing research and help individuals suffering from devastating brain diseases.

A very special, heartfelt thanks to Barbara and Mike Feigin, beloved longtime supporters of the Duncan NRI whose compassion made this night possible, and to the Singh family, our dear partners and collaborators. Thank you also to Executive Chef Jassi Bindra for pouring his heart and soul into the artfully crafted five-course meal with perfect wine pairings.

After dinner, certified financial planner and all-around good guy, Will Murphy, proved to be an incredible asset as the evening’s auctioneer. He leveraged the crowd’s enthusiasm for rare bottles of bourbon whiskey, and the creation of unique craft cocktails and epicurean cuisine, to bring in $117,700 for the Duncan NRI. We are tremendously grateful to Kim and Robert Marling, Lisa and Mark Stewart, and Angela and John Wisenbaker for making the winning bids on the exclusive live auction items and one-of-a-kind experiences. The Stewarts also generously donated a case of their namesake tequila to increase the fun and funds raised.

Once Upon a Time at Amrina is the Duncan NRI’s largest and most important charitable event of the year. This evening provides hope and help to families whose children and loved ones struggle with neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, and psychiatric conditions in our community and around the world.
