About the symposium

Edmond T. Gonzales, Jr. Surgical Research Day provides Surgery Department faculty, staff and other health team members with a dynamic opportunity to learn about research internally and externally. It also offers the opportunity to highlight current research within the Department of Surgery (DOS) and encourages participation of research in all Surgical Divisions, covering the broad spectrum from basic science research to clinical research to outcomes research. The goal of this program is to have a more robust clinical research program, while showcasing the academic efforts of the surgical faculty, post graduate trainees, nursing personnel and operating room staff.
