Your funeral home starts the process of obtaining a death certificate for your loved one. This process may take several weeks. Fees vary for this service; credit cards are usually accepted. You can order additional death certificates from your funeral home at that time. If you are experiencing a problem with obtaining the death certificate, notify your funeral director and they will be able to coordinate this process.
After the death certificate process has been completed, you can request additional copies of your loved ones’ death certificates from the Bureau of Vital Statistics.
