Nurse Residency Program

The Nurse Residency program is a six-month program that provides an ongoing, supportive and interactive environment while bridging the gap from nursing school to professional practice.


Nursing Student Preceptorship and Support

Texas Children’s offers clinical learning experiences for students that is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of an accredited school of nursing.

The mission of the Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) Integrated Delivery System (IDS) is to create a healthier future for children’s and women throughout our global community by leading in patient care, education and research. Nursing supports this mission through programs and partnerships with schools of nursing from local, regional and state levels.  The structures and processes ensure quality and safety and success of these initiatives.  Nursing Professional Development (NPD) department in collaboration with executive leaders have established a centralized process for all nursing clinical student placements for all nursing degrees at TCH. This will include TCH and Non-TCH employees.
