The Texas Children’s Virtual Educational Series provides a forum for educating and connecting community providers with pediatric specialists. Please join our psychology team for Addressing Racism- and Discrimination-Related Distress in Youth. Participants will learn how to:
- Recognize the frequency of race-related discrimination against Black youth
- Understand the impact of discrimination and racism on mental health conditions
- Describe racial trauma
- Identify approaches to help families mitigate the impact of exposure to discrimination and racism
