Get to know Karen D. Evankovich, PhD
Dr. Evankovich is a pediatric neuropsychologist in the multidisciplinary Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology. She evaluates children with a wide variety of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders, ranging in age from early childhood through late adolescence. The neuropsychological evaluation is conducted to identify the bases for learning and/or behavioral concerns in order to guide educational and therapeutic interventions. Dr. Evankovich's ongoing research interests include characterizing the cognitive and psychosocial consequences of pediatric epilepsy. More recently, she has become involved in research examining the evolution of cognitive and psychosocial difficulties in children and adolescents with demyelinating disorders and the relationships of these issues to disease-related factors.
