Dr. Truong is a native Texan who earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed General Surgery residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona in Phoenix. He then completed his fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, where he received comprehensive training in the treatment of a wide variety of pediatric and craniofacial anomalies. As a Rice alumni, he is fortunate to return to Houston and Texas Children’s Hospital, where he is part of a diverse and multi-faceted team of specialists dedicated to improving the care of children in the greater Houston area. His special interests are cranial vault remodeling, facial fractures, midfacial and mandibular distraction, orthognathic surgery, and virtual surgical planning.
Dr. Tuan Truong is both board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery in “General Surgery."
