Personal Statement
I am an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who joined Texas Children’s Hospital Otolaryngology department in 2016. My nursing background has always been with pediatric and have been practicing in multiple settings including NICU, Pedi Preoperative, Pedi PACU, PCU and surgical/trauma care. A critical part of practicing medicine is communicating well with patients and their family members. I am a bilingual provider fluent in Vietnamese which helps me communicate better with patients and families, understand their questions and concerns, and also help them understand their health and medical conditions. My clinical areas of interest are caring for pediatric patients with tracheostomies, head and neck masses, airway issues, and patients requiring ABR under moderate sedation. My research interests include patient/caregiver education, ways to reduce tracheostomy complications and quality improvement for tracheostomy patients. Driven by my philosophy of caring, compassionate and commitment, my goal is to provide holistic and highest quality care for pediatric patients and their families.
