About

Theresa Lazarte is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric cancers. As a registered nurse, she devoted her entire career to caring for patients with pediatric cancers in the inpatient, outpatient, and chemotherapy/biotherapy infusion settings.  Currently as a nurse practitioner, Theresa continues her commitment to caring for patients with pediatric cancers, particulary those with solid tumors and brain tumors.

Theresa is a team member of the Solid Tumor Program and the Brain Tumor Program, which include brain tumors, retinoblastoma, and kidney tumors.  

Because of the unique nature and needs of the pediatric oncology population, Theresa is also a certified hospice and palliative pediatric nurse.  She firmly believes in optimally preserving the quality of life for all her patients and actively promotes family-centered care throughout each child's and family's journey.
