Dr. Sara Anvari, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Section of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital.

Dr. Anvari treats patients with food allergy, asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, drug allergy and immune deficiencies.

Dr. Anvari has an interest in both the clinical evaluation and translational research of food allergic disorders, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders and atopic dermatitis and has been focused on finding new therapies and improving the understanding of the disease pathology. Her primary research interest focuses on defining cellular and humoral immune profiles in individuals with food allergies and elucidating the mechanisms by which the body develops tolerance from oral immunotherapy. Overall, Dr. Anvari is focused on improving the quality of life for infants, children and adolescents with allergic disorders. She has dedicated her career, thus far, to understand and investigate the underlying immune mechanisms driving these conditions.
