Dr. Wang is an associate professor of pediatric urology at Baylor School of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital. She recently joined our faculty after 8 years of service as fellowship director and pediatric urologist at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Her clinical expertise include the treatment of common urological conditions in children as well as congenital abnormalities: including urinary tract infections, vesicoureteral reflux, UPJ obstruction, complex urinary reconstructions and fetal urologic conditions.  Her expertise also include undescended testicles, hernia, varicocele in teenagers, and penile reconstructions, such as curvature/twisting, hypospadias, repair of incomplete circumcision.

Dr. Wang received her B.S. in biological science from Binghamton University in 1995 and completed her M.D. at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed a surgical internship and a 2 year research fellowship in biochemistry/molecular biology at the Mayo Clinic before her urology residency at the state university of New York/ Buffalo School of Medicine. She further completed a 2 years of research and clinical fellowship in pediatric urology at the University of California, San Francisco.

She is board certified in urology and subspecialty certified in pediatric urology by American Board of Urology.

Her research interests include genetic mutations in hypospadias, urinary tract infection, GI and GU microbiome, safety and long-term outcomes in children with congenital urological disorders. 

Dr. Wang has published extensively and presents at national conferences such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Urologic Association. She is a member of the American Urological Association and the Urology Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She sits on a variety national and local committees.

Pediatric urinary tract infection. Genital urinary tract microbiome.
