Personal Statement

I am a licensed physical therapist who has been with Texas Children’s Hospital since 2021. I have experience in pediatric and adult patient populations, serving patients in the pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department as well as the Adult Congenital Heart program. I advocate and promote a family/team-centered approach to treatment – each individual is not simply a diagnosis, but someone who is seeking to strengthen their confidence and build independence. Families need appropriate skills to help their loved one meet his or her treatment goals. Our team achieves this by collaborating with other disciplines, educating patient families and working together to design a plan that best meets the patient’s unique and specific needs.
