About
Dr. Meghan Shekar is an advanced track fellowship trainee in pediatric solid tumors. She completed her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training in 2023. She is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Prior to fellowship, she worked at Texas Children's Hospital on the inpatient oncology unit as a hospitalist helping to care for a variety of pediatric oncology patients.
Her interest in pediatric hematology/oncology began in medical school when she first had an opportunity to work with these inspiring and resilient patients, and was reinforced during her pediatric residency training at Texas Children's Hospital. She hopes to support families through challenging diagnoses and help improve outcomes for children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders.
