About
Marika Highberger is a pediatric nurse practitioner for Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNBC) as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP). Her clinical interests are in adolescents and the transition of care.
Within the Urgent Care Bay, she provides acute care and triage for patients with cancer and blood disorders, assesses and manages acute illnesses, infusion room reactions, and all urgent care needs for patients within the Cancer and Hematology Center.
As a member of the Clinical Research Office, she develops and maintains Beacon orders for all research and clinical treatment protocols. She also participates in the Practice Standard Committee for BEACON improvements and holds both a Beacon Builder Certification and an EPIC-Physician Builder Certification.
