Leara Glinzak, MSAT, ATR-BC
Leara Glinzak is a board-certified art therapist and The Faris Foundation Art Therapist at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers.
Ms. Glinzak is grounded in a person-centered approach and utilizes a creative process to encourage self-transformation and healing. Her passion for advocating the benefits of art therapy led her to become a nationally-recognized presenter and workshop facilitator in the field of art therapy.
Her experience spans numerous areas of care and populations, including: grief and trauma, addiction, mental health, dementia, and pediatric hematology/oncology.
Her work has been published in the peer-reviewed, Journal of the American Art Therapy Association.
Before joining Texas Children’s Hospital, Ms. Glinzak was an art therapy professor, educator and the former president of the Michigan Art Therapy Association.
She received a bachelor of arts in art therapy from Seton Hill University and a master of science in art therapy with a concentration in counseling from Mount Mary University.
