Jessica A. Zink is a physician assistant in the Department of Congenital Heart Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. Her responsibilities include rounding and working with the multidisciplinary teams on the management of the surgical inpatients, assisting in the operating room, and seeing patients in the outpatient clinic. Her interests include but are not limited to the following: pediatric aortic root replacement, care of single ventricle patients, and quality of life after cardiac surgery. Other non-clinical duties include working on the Advanced Practice Provider Community Outreach Committee and assisting with the Physician Assistant Surgical Fellowship.
Jessica received her undergraduate and graduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Following graduate school she worked as a Cardiology physician assistant in Portland, Maine. She then went on to complete a Physician Assistant Surgical Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she rotated and trained with many of the pediatric surgical subspecialties. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Jessica’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
