About
Dr. Jeremy Slone, an Assistant Professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH), specializes clinically in pediatric solid tumors. His clinical research focuses on pediatric cancer epidemiology in low and middle income countries (LMICs), particularly in Africa.
Since 2010, Dr. Slone has been working to improve the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer and blood disorders in several African countries. From 2012-2015, he directed Botswana’s only pediatric hematology-oncology program at Princess Marina Hospital through a partnership between BCM, TCH and the government of Botswana. After two years as part of the solid tumor team at TCH, he returned to Botswana in July 2017 to serve as the Medical Director of the Global HOPE (Hematology-Oncology Pediatric Excellence) Botswana program. He also serves as the Director of Education for Global HOPE.
