Dr. Drutz has been the local Principal Investigator forclinical research projects over the past several years,as part of the Continuity ResearchNETwork (CORNET), a collaborative effort of the Academic PediatricAssociation Continuity Specialty InterestGroup. These projects frequently have been in conjunction withAmerican Academy of Pediatrics PROS (Pediatric Research in Office Settings) studies. CORNET projects aredesigned to compare data referable to patient encounters in private practitioner's offices with similar data collectedin academic outpatient teaching sites. Accumulated data is then compared to that gathered by the NationalAmbulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics. The most recentCORNET project completed was the Primary Adolescent Vaccination in the Medical Home (AIM HI)- an implementation of intervention strategy. Dr. Drutz just received word that the TCH site has been selected as one of 4 or 5 national sites for the National Partnership for Adolescent Immunization - Quality Improvement Study.
