Jamie Ouseph, MSPAS, PA-C is a Physician Assistant and Clinical Lead of the Advanced Practice Providers in the Department of Pediatric General Surgery & Trauma at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is one of several APPs supporting the busiest service in the Surgery Department. She cares for patients in the inpatient setting and outpatient clinic. She is primarily involved with the Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) micro team with Dr. Mazziotti, Dr. Minifee, and Dr. Shah. In addition to her clinical and administrative responsibilities, Jamie is involved in various quality improvement projects including: APP involvement in RRTs and improving TCH discharge process. Jamie is also in charge of the Physician Assistant students rotating with the Pediatric General Surgery service. Her interests include management of Gastrostomy buttons, Appendicitis, and general postoperative management.
Jamie received her undergraduate degree in Health and Kinesiology, and minor in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and Texas Medical Board.
