Dr. Ocampo is a member of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Section of Pediatric Cardiology. She heads a multidisciplinary group that developed and implemented a feeding protocol in pre and post-operative neonates with congenital heart disease. She is also a part of the Single Ventricle Team and Home Monitoring program for neonates with single ventricles and shunt dependent lesions which aims to improve inter-stage survival, decrease morbidity and improve neurodevelopmental outcomes in these high-risk patients. Dr. Ocampo's research interests include investigation of outcomes of single ventricle congenital heart disease and evaluation of feeding abnormalities in neonates after cardiac surgery.
