About

Darleen has comprehensive experience of nearly 30 years as a pediatric occupational therapist with her entire practice devoted to children and their families. Her passion is for acquisition of their personal goals to maximize full potential in their activities of daily living.  She has practiced in a variety of settings which have included inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, 0-3 years early childhood intervention program in home & school settings. 

She has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses of prematurity, genetic disorders, hemiplegia, and quadriplegia, spasticity management, global developmental delay, hypotonia, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorders, and feeding therapy using a sensory motor approach for developmental delayed, picky eaters & problem feeders and autism spectrum disorders. 

As an Advanced Clinical Specialist she has additional trainings with special areas of interest including upper extremity serial casting for tone management, rehabilitation from inpatient to outpatient to regain their functional skills. As well as trained in providing nurturing touch massage techniques (infant massage) for gastrointestinal and developmental needs.

Certifications include Neurodevelopmental Treatment in the management of Adults with Stroke and Brain Injury. Certified Educator of Infant Massage & the Nurturing Touch & Neonatal Touch Massage Certification.
