I have a sincere and genuine interest in caring for children with congenital heart disease. I understand how impactful a diagnosis of heart disease can be on a child and their family, and I strive to take as much time as possible until all questions are answered. My primary clinical interests focus on non-invasive cardiac imaging, including both transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, as well as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. I have research interests in the application of cardiac MRI to a wide a variety of cardiac pathologies. I have initiated our cardiac stress MRI program, designed for patients who are at risk of coronary artery disease, either congenital or acquired. I have an interest in the cardiac MRI capabilities of myocardial characterization, and their potential applications within childhood cancer survivors and patients with heart failure. In addition, I have performed research utilizing cardiac MRI strain and torsion quantification in the single ventricle population.
