About

Chandra Teague, Senior Athletic Trainer at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, developed an interest in athletic training while playing collegiate volleyball at Corban University in Oregon. After earning a Master’s in Athletic Training at Pacific University, she moved to Houston and honed her skills as an assistant athletic trainer in the high school setting.

As part of Texas Children’s Sports Medicine team, Chandra plays an integral role in the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with athletic injuries — with an emphasis on educating patients and their families on the importance of wellness and injury prevention.

From Ms. Teague

As an athletic trainer, I enjoy being a part of the recovery process of athletes who have sustained injuries that hinder their participation in activities. I am passionate about inter-professional collaboration to ensure the athletes are being treated holistically, enabling them to return to sport as quickly and efficiently as possible.
