About Burke Wilson
Burke Wilson is a sports physical therapist at Texas Children's Hospital working primarily with adolescent athletes. His clinical interests include operative and non-operative management of youth athletes with lower extremity injuries and biomechanical analysis of runners and overhead athletes.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Wilson is involved in mentoring within Texas Children's Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program. He is also a full-time lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at Rice University and has lectured to Texas Women's University physical therapy program.
Dr. Wilson earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Texas Southwestern and completed his post-professional residency in sports physical therapy at the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute in Houston. Additionally, he is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Prior to his graduate education, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Texas A&M University.
