About

Amy Bartholomew, MMSc, PA-C is a Physician Assistant with the Surgical Hospitalist team at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. Amy specializes in the care of Otolaryngology patients needing surgical, emergency, and/or inpatient care. She has been a member of the Otolaryngology team at Texas Children’s Hospital since 2013 and recently joined the Surgical Hospitalist team to assist in the surgical and inpatient care of Otolaryngology patients.

Amy cares for patients in the emergency room setting, pre-operatively and post-operatively, on the inpatient floors, and assists in the operating room. Her clinical interests are chronic ear problems in children, post-operative care of adenotonsillectomies, and bedside procedures. She also enjoys educating patients and families on post-operative care, disease processes and prevention.

Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and then proceeded to obtain a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University School of Medicine. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and medically licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
