Conditions We Treat

Patients evaluated by the RV Failure Program include:

  • Patients with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension and progressive RV dysfunction despite aggressive medical management
  • Patients with pulmonary vein stenosis
  • Patients referred to Texas Children’s for lung transplant evaluation for a variety of conditions including:
    • Pulmonary hypertension
    • Pulmonary vein stenosis
    • Alveolar capillary dysplasia
    • Pulmonary veno-occlusive disease
    • Pulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis
  • Patients referred for targeted RV failure management
  • Patients with single ventricle physiology with decreasing ventricular function requiring optimization of their pulmonary vascular bed

Patients can be seen on an in-patient or outpatient basis. Phone consultations are also available.
