We offer a year-long instructorship in pediatric neurocritical care for physicians to develop additional skills and expertise in the field. Customized curriculum maximizes the instructor's experience for the diagnosis and management of children with critical neurological conditions.
The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Critical Care Medicine, offers a one-year instructor position for those individuals wishing to pursue additional training in pediatric neurocritical care. This position offers a unique experience caring for children in our dedicated Pediatric Neuro-Intensive Care Unit. The Instructor will work alongside faculty colleagues, fellows, residents and advanced level practitioners from critical care, neurology, neurophysiology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology with a focus on caring for children with critical neurologic disease.
Highlights of our program include a dedicated Pediatric Neuro-Intensive Care Unit, a high-volume Level 1 Trauma Center, advanced multimodal neuro-monitoring capability, extensive continuous EEG monitoring availability, and regularly scheduled dedicated multi-disciplinary neurocritical educational opportunities.
We offer a weekly neuroradiology patient care conference and bi-weekly neurocritical care educational lectures in addition to regularly scheduled educational conferences for both the neurology and critical care sections. We have led day-long educational workshops in pediatric neurocritical care.
