Osteoporosis is undoubtedly a pediatric disease! What does that mean? It means that this disease that mostly affects the elderly begins in childhood, especially in adolescence. July 19, 2011 | Allie Williams, patient

My name is Allie Williams. I am 15 years old and live in Alexandria, Louisiana.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 13, in May of 2009.

After going through many pediatricians and neurologists in Alexandria, Louisiana, I was referred to the Blue Bird Circle at Texas Children's Hospital where I saw Dr. Timothy Lotze, whom confirmed my diagnosis.

I awoke one morning to a tingling and numbness on my right side, walking problems and facial spasms.
