U.S. News 2017-2018 survey recognizes Texas Children’s as 4th in nation

We are proud to share Texas Children’s Hospital continues to earn national recognition as a leader in pediatric health care, ranking fourth among the approximately 187 pediatric centers surveyed by U.S. News & World Report in their 2017-18 edition of Best Children’s Hospitals.

What do these rankings mean for children and patient families like yours? We believe U.S. News rankings are a great starting point when choosing a pediatric hospital for your child. We know this process can be confusing, stressful and time consuming, and while no survey or ranking should be the only determining factor of where your child is treated, we encourage families to leverage the data and work that U.S. News has put into their rankings when considering potential hospitals.

Texas Children’s is one of only 10 children’s hospitals across the country to achieve the Honor Roll designation, and the only hospital in Texas awarded this distinction. In fact, over the last decade, no other pediatric hospital in the state has ever achieved an overall ranking as high as Texas Children’s.

We want families to know the preeminent care provided by Texas Children’s extends beyond the medical center. The expertise, care and treatment we provide our patients and families is our top priority and is provided at every location including our West Campus, our hospital in The Woodlands and our multiple specialty care locations.

Each year, in addition to ranking pediatric hospitals overall, U.S. News also ranks the top 50 pediatric hospitals across 10 major subspecialties. This year, we are thrilled that Texas Children’s Heart Center ranks as the best cardiology and heart surgery service in the country.
