Reaching success: The end of treatment bell at Texas Children’s Cancer Center

The ringing of a bell can mean many things, but at Texas Children’s Cancer Center the ringing of a bell symbolizes victory.Being able to ring the end of treatment bell is a huge milestone for patients and their families. The sound of the bell tells the patient ringing it their journey with treatment is done and they have courageously conquered it. The end of treatment bell has the ability to bring people together, to celebrate the patient’s success and also gives hope to those patients who know one day, they will be the ones ringing it.

Each bell is placed next to a plaque that reads, “Let your strength and courage be felt by all, as this bell’s song fills this hall. For every time we hear this note, another life be filled with hope. Stay strong.”
