Montblanc Dr. Poplack and JP

HOUSTON - Feb. 9, 2012 - Montblanc announced today a new and unique charitable partnership with Texas Children's Hospital. Montblanc and Texas Children's Cancer Center have joined together to support excellence in patient care, research and education to enhance the health and well-being of our nation's children. To show personal commitment to this cause, Montblanc has created a collection of woven leather bracelets with portions of proceeds to be donated to Texas Children's Cancer Center. This partnership marks the first time Montblanc has aligned with a regional hospital, demonstrating its long international heritage of social responsibility. Texas Children's Cancer Center - located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston - is internationally renowned and is the largest pediatric cancer center in the United States. Founded in 1954, Texas Children's Hospital has cared for more than 17.5 million children from every corner of the world.

"We're enthusiastic about this partnership and what it means for our Cancer Center, hospital, and most importantly, our patients," said Dr. David Poplack, director of Texas Children's Cancer Center. "Through this piece of jewelry anyone can show their support and help us in the fight against pediatric cancer."

In dedication to caring for children in need, Montblanc has created a collection of woven bracelets with $50 of each bracelet purchased donated to Texas Children's Cancer Center. The bracelet is exquisitely crafted of black woven leather and features a sterling silver clasp adorned with the distinctive Texas Children's Hospital logo.

A stunning one-of-a-kind bracelet, handcrafted in solid gold and adorned with diamonds, was created for those who want to make a greater donation. As a mark of premier craftsmanship, the bracelet features the stunning Montblanc diamond on its clasp, in the shape of the iconic Montblanc star. This special piece is valued at $50,000 and will be sold via an ongoing auction that will conclude in September 2012. All proceeds from the sale of this collectible will be gifted to Texas Children's Cancer Center.

Social commitment is an integral part of Montblanc's brand philosophy. Charitable partnerships in previous years include UNICEF, for which Montblanc contributed over $1 million to education and literacy programs for children worldwide, along with Best Buddies International, a global non-profit organization that creates opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Most recently, Montblanc joined forces with the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, offering charitable support to programs dedicated to identifying and assisting emerging talent in theatre, dance, and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships.

The Montblanc Texas Children's Hospital Bracelet will be available in select Montblanc boutiques nationwide starting in February. Join us in this initiative by visiting Montblanc.com.
