About Shannon Conneely
Dr. Shannon Conneely is a clinician on the inpatient oncology team at Texas Children's Hospital. She recently completed residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital where she participated in quality improvement research projects both within the general pediatrics and oncology departments. After spending a year on the inpatient team taking care of patients with cancer, Dr. Conneely will continue her education as a pediatric hematology-oncology fellow at Texas Children's Hospital.
Dr. Conneely developed an interest in pediatric oncology as a high school student. Volunteering at her local children's hospital in Akron, Ohio, she was able to meet some of the amazing and resilient patients and families experiencing the effects of childhood cancer. She took an interest in the patients, as well as the disease. She hopes to have a big impact on cancer care, both in her individual patients and in improving therapies to reduce side effects and improve survival. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
