The Texas Children's Spina Bifida Program is a multidisciplinary team of compassionate clinicians who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients with Spina Bifida and other congenital spinal anomalies.

Our multidisciplinary clinic meets weekly. Patients are seen by multiple specialists at the same visit who coordinate and personalize care and treatment plans.
Care for a Lifetime
Our multidisciplinary team follows our patients throughout their lifespan from prenatal through graduation from our program into adult services. We encompass the lifespan and needs of our patients and work closely with a transition team to ensure a seamless change from pediatric to adult care. The Spina Bifida Program also offers a Teen Readiness Clinic that focuses on transition.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal evaluations are available from maternal-fetal specialists in Texas Children's Fetal Center. They provide pre-natal counseling and personalized treatment recommendations for each family. Our fetal surgeons have completed more than 100 fetoscopic repairs of myelomeningocele, more than any other fetal center in the nation.
