Lactation Program and Mother’s Own Milk Bank
The Texas Children's Lactation Program
and Mother's Own Milk Bank provides a variety of services for
breast-feeding mothers and their infants. Registered nurses
and peer counselers specializing in lactation counseling and clinical breastfeeding
management are available for clinic or hospital appointments.
Also available are breast pump rental,
purchase of breast-feeding supplies and information regarding
returning to work and continuation of breastfeeding.
Educational programs and
consultations to area hospitals and healthcare providers, including
information on maternal medications and their excretion into breastmilk,
are available upon request.
