HOUSTON – On February 13, students from Cornelius Elementary spread their love as they decorated cards and letters for children in need of some extra cheer on Valentine’s Day. Following a $286,233 check presentation to Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic outreach program on behalf of the Kohl’s department stores, the 3rd and 4th grade students from Cornelius Elementary presented TCH representatives with hand-crafted valentine’s cards they made for patients of the hospital.

Staff and volunteers from Texas Children’s Hospital also used the time educate the students on various safety precautions as they gave them life lessons on how to react in times of an emergency. The Mobile Clinic and staff were onsite to provide information to students, teachers and families about preventative healthcare.
