Local Stars Participate in Bad Pants Fashion Show

Local celebrities from several media outlets throughout Houston joined physicians, nurses and past patient families of Texas Children's Newborn Center in The Bad Pants Fashion Show. Representation from print media included Houston Business Journal's Greg Barr, Texas Medical Center News' Ronda Wendler and Texas Children's internal reporter, Eden Kerr-Perkinson.
The broadcast media were well represented as a number of television reporters and radio on-air personalities joined the runway festivities including David Nuno and Sean Harris from 1560 "The Game", Rachel McNeil from KPRC-2, Kevin Reece from KHOU-11, Tom Koch and Casey Curry from KTRK-13, Melissa Wilson from KRIV-26, Jorge Vargas and Mia Gradney from KIAH-39 and Roseann Rogers from KTBU-55.
Each media participant walked the runway with a past patient of Texas Children's Newborn Center as a way to illustrate the incredible work being done at Texas Children's Newborn Center.
The participants donned bad fashion for a good cause as Texas Children's Hospital celebrates its upcoming 12th Annual Bad Pants Open golf tournament that benefits Texas Children's Newborn Center. The tournament has raised more than $1 million for nutrition, pain management and development care services for the more than 2,900 infants treated in the Newborn Center each year.
Dr. Jennifer Arnold, neonatologist at Texas Children's Newborn
Center, medical director of the Pediatric Simulation Center at Texas Children's Hospital and star of TLC's new reality series "The Little Couple", served as the special guest emcee.
