The Adult Congenital Heart program enables patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) to receive a seamless continuation of care from birth to old age.
As pediatric patients with congenital heart defects transition into adulthood, our multidisciplinary team of experienced congenital heart disease specialists advises patients on health and lifestyle choices for their adult needs, including physical challenges, exercise options and family planning.
The Adult Congenital Heart program is a collaborative effort of the Baylor College of Medicine departments of surgery, medicine and pediatrics, Texas Children's Hospital and the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. Backed by the combined technologies and research of our world-class medical institutions, our program offers the highest level of comprehensive and compassionate medical and surgical care for congenital heart disease.
