VISITING THE HOSPITAL Conference on Spirituality in Pediatrics 2009
Call for Posters
The fifth biennial Conference on Spirituality in Pediatrics explores the impact that pediatric care providers can have on the spiritual needs and concerns of children and their families during illness. Founded, created and presented by the Auxiliary to Texas Children's Hospital, this year’s two and a half day conference focuses on the role of spirituality within a pediatric health care setting. Attendees will learn aspects of palliative care, models of children’s spiritual development and methods for meeting spiritual needs of families, children and caregivers. In an interdisciplinary setting, you will explore how to improve spiritual care delivery by all members of a care team. Share your research or your program that relates to spirituality in sick children in a hospital or health care setting with our audience of doctors, nurses, child life specialists and chaplains. Please follow the guidelines below. Submission Deadlines Abstracts are due by September 15, 2009. Presenters will be notified by September 19. Preference will be given to conference registrants.
